Abstract

The performance of a small size high-temperature superconducting 1 bit phase shifter (/spl Delta//spl phi/=45/spl deg/) is reported. The phase shifter is based on the transition from the superconducting state to the normal state induced by a DC control current. A capacitance and a switchable inductance in shunt are used to achieve the phase shift. The results of a simulation and an experimental investigation are compared.
