Abstract

The diffusion behavior of Re(VII) in γ-irradiated Gaomiaozi bentonite was investigated by a through-diffusion method at different dry densities and pH values. The dependency of effective diffusion coefficient (D e) on the dry density could be described by an exponential decay function, and the relationship of D e and accessible porosity (e acc) followed Archie’s law. Generally, radiation-induced effect resulted in no obvious difference in Re(VII) diffusion.
