Abstract

Abstract Oxygen diffusion in low temperature squalane glasses was studied by phenanthrene phosphorescence quenching and anthracene fluorescence quenching in geminate pairs (anthracene 3. O 2 ). The oxygen mobility can be described by continuous diffusion. Anthracene fluorescence quenching in geminate pairs allow to measure diffusion coefficients till 10 −23 cm 2 /s.
