Abstract

Research was conducted on the diffusion of some major news events to see whether people got to know of these events from radio, television, newspaper or another person. Results showed that variables such as time of day and day of the week of an event determined how people got to know and radio was not the primary medium by which people got to know of the events. The more significant a news event, chances of people getting to hear of it from others was greater.
