Abstract
Electrodiagnostic testing in patients with ulnar nerve palsy attempts to demonstrate that the lesion is localized to the elbow and to differentiate entrapment distal to the epicondyle (cubital tunnel localization) from entrapment across the epicondyle (ulnar groove or epicondylar sulcus localization). This distinction has implications for treatment: Simple surgical release is possible in cubital tunnel compression, whereas surgical treatment of ulnar nerve entrapment in the groove is more problematic. …
