Abstract

Nanometer SiC/LAS ceramic composite samples were prepared, and the effects of the nanometer SiC content and sintering temperature on the permittivity of the composite were studied. Both the abnormal relationship between permittivity and sintering densities of the composite in the different temperature range and the great difference between measured and calculated permittivity of composite suggested that the carbon-rich interface with higher permittivity were responsible for the discrepancy. The higher activity and higher specific surface of the nanometer SiC facilitate the interface formation and intensify its influence on the permittivity of the composite.
