Abstract

Arranging in proper order, prioritizing, and drawing distinctions are important steps in counseling. A device that supports these steps is the Scaling Disk. It was originally developed for systemic team and group work, but in the meantime it has also proved itself in other counseling contexts. Its specific use in child guidance, debt counseling and relationship counseling will be demonstrated exemplarily. The examples show how easily complicated connections and efforts for solutions can be presented. They give an impression of the usefulness of the device in diverse counseling contexts.
