Abstract
Nowadays use of DG sources is getting more popular due to their significant advantageous to improve the voltage conditions and enhance reduction methods that are conventionally used in power losses. However, doing load flow calculations in case of presence of DG sources is difficult due to presence of such generators in distribution level of power system. This is happening since most load flow techniques available are developed to do such analysis in the transmission states. In addition, the design and implementation of reactive power compensator belonging to DG sources which are mostly only generating active power is another matter of issue to be solved. In this paper, distribution generation units are implemented in distribution section of a particular power system with given level of reactive compensation provided for each of the DG sources connected to a 26 buses distribution system and results are analyzed based on their effect on recovery of state of buses' voltages. They confirm positive and acceptable effects of DG sources installation beside their compensations on the voltage profile of the system under simulation studies and it is accessed that locationing of DG resources (which handle both active power directly and reactive power indirectly) have a great importance in level of accessible improvements in such systems.
