Abstract
The presented work is devoted to the development of a hybrid composite material – fiber metal laminate based on basalt fabric (BF), with increased damping properties, due to the use of a new thermoplastic elastomer binder. The synthesis method and properties of the new polymer which is a multiblock copolymers of poly (urethaneamidoimide) is shown. The mechanical and damping characteristics of FML based on synthesized polymer were studied. Their properties were compared with polysulfone-based FML. The developed material has a high tan δ value in the temperature range from −25 to 150 °C.
