Abstract
With the evolution and development of modern war forms, traditional ammunition is increasingly unable to meet the needs of modern battlefield, and various types of special ammunition emerge as the times require. Bionic ammunition is a kind of miniaturized autonomous ammunition based on bionics theory. It has some excellent performances that other ammunition can’t match, such as intelligence reconnaissance, combat assistance, secret killing and so on. The appearance of bionic ammunition will lead the research of new ammunition to a new stage. This paper introduces the concept of bionic ammunition, summarizes the development of this field at home and abroad, and finally puts forward the future trend and existing problems of bionic ammunition.
