Abstract
The purpose of the study is to analyze the impact of wellness tourism on the transformation of the tourism industry in Ukraine. Research methods. The main approaches in domestic and foreign literature on the definitions such as “SPA” and “wellness”, “wellness-tourism” are analyzed. The main tendencies of wellness-tourism development and the existing problems of development of tourist-recreational complexes of Ukraine are characterized. The expediency of changes in the organization of the tourist activity and recreational complexes of Ukraine, as an element of the tourism industry transformation, is substantiated. Results. The forms of work with clients of tourist-recreational complexes that are new on the domestic market of wellness-tourism, in particular – wellness weekend-tours, have been developed. The main target groups for wellness and SPA services and related innovative technologies have been identified. Scientific novelty. The main wellness innovations, their forms, types and specifics have been systematized that will allow tourist-recreational complexes to be better transformed in order to meet the current needs of the population. The term “wellness weekend-tours” is proposed to identify the main ways of wellness-activitiy optimization in the context of the tourism industry transformation inUkraine. Practical significance. The indicative recreational innovations, based on the use of foreign experience in organizing of tourist activities and recreational complexes inUkrainehave been proposed.

Дослідження велнесу (wellness), як сучасної системи рекреації можна розглядати в межах рекреалогії, власне значною мірою формування та функціонування. 50 системи велнесу (wellness) спирається на її теоретичну базу. Найбільш цитованими у вітчизняних працях зарубіжними дослідниками велнесу (wellness) є Х. Рекреаційні інновації розглядалися такими зарубіжними авторами як: T. Де висвітлено новітні форми роботи в рекреаційній діяльності wellnessкомплексів. Деякі аспекти дослідження розглядалися у науково-популярних, медичних та рекламно-інформаційних виданнях зарубіжних авторів: К. Науковці висвітлюють певні шляхи вирішення проблем впровадження інноваційних підходів, зокрема активне впровадження арт-терапії та wellness-технологій в рекреаційну діяльність туристичної індустрії. Ефективність трансформації туристичної індустрії залежить від вирішення завдань, що стоять перед нею в епоху глобалізації, відповідно існуючим тенденціям розвитку рекреаційних потреб населення
