Abstract

Thin-film plastic scintillators have been developed for use as fission detectors in direct-reaction-induced fission experiments. The method of detector fabrication is described. Typical response to fission fragments produced both by a 252Cf source and by charged-particle-induced fission of natural uranium is shown and discussed.
