Abstract
The article describes the results of an empirical study of the development of self-regulation skills in students in grades 1-4. It was found that younger schoolchildren highly appreciate their ability to self-regulate, which is not confirmed when solving problems in a modeling experiment. A statistically significant relationship was found between a class of younger students and their ability to self-regulate when solving problems of a modeling experiment. The results can be used in the educational process.
