Abstract

ABSTRACT Fracture-enhanced reservoirs are widespread in the middle and upper Devonian sands and shales of the Appalachian Basin. These zones of fracture enhanced permeability and productivity can be delineated with surface and downhole geochemical techniques. Careful use of surface geochemical surveys can greatly improve our ability to target and develop these resources.
