Abstract

A Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS) system has been designed and developed in modular form and its performance demonstrated. The system consists of timing controller, data acquisition unit, PID temperature controller, cryostat, capacitance meter, and pulse generator and a PC controller. Modules other than pulse generator and PC controller have been locally designed and fabricated. Dedicated software to run DLTS system, to data acquisition and post-processing / analysis was also developed. The performance of developed DLTS unit was validated through studies on Schottky diodes with known deep levels.
