Abstract

In this research, we developed an interactive video system using an andon: a traditional Japanese lantern. In this system, CG images are displayed on each side of an andon and displayed on a table, and they are linked each other. This system uses a projector on the andon and a hemispherical mirror inside the andon to display CG images on each side of the andon. Since the CG images reflected by the spherical mirror is deformed, we have developed a method to correct the shape of the CG image by simulation. We also developed a method to track the position and the rotation of the andon using a LiDAR in order to link the realtime CG images of the andon and the table. The proposed system realizes a new interactive video content using an andon.
