Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is a recommended instructional model to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile and preserve local wisdom. PjBL prioritizes student activities aimed at producing outputs through skills such as inquiry, analysis, creation, and presentation. These outputs are based on real-life experiences. This study employed the ADDIE methodology, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Both quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed. The PjBL-based flipbook for elementary school was evaluated as highly valid, receiving validity scores of 85% from content experts, 90% from media experts, and 80% from teachers, all within the highly valid category. Individual tests, small group tests, and field tests showed high validity rates with percentages of 90%, 100%, and 90%, respectively. Based on these assessment findings, it can be concluded that the product demonstrates high validity, practicality, and effectiveness in reinforcing the Pancasila Student Profile and preserving local wisdom.

  • International Journal of Elementary Education
  • Ni Wayan Rati + 1 more

The lack of Computational Thinking skills and low motivation to learn coding in elementary schools pose a challenge in 21st-century education. This situation is exacerbated by the limited availability of innovative and contextual learning media that can support the development of these skills. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the CodeSTEM learning platform based on coding with a Future Thinking approach to improve the Computational Thinking skills of seventh-grade elementary school students. The study uses a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The needs analysis was conducted through literature review, observation, and interviews with teachers and students. Then, the platform was designed with interactive content that integrates Future Thinking and project-based learning. Product validation involved experts in content, design, and digital media to ensure theoretical and technical feasibility. Trials were conducted in stages: individual testing, small group testing, and field testing involving 28 fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and pre-test and post-test assessments of Computational Thinking skills. Validation results showed that the product had very good feasibility, and the field test demonstrated significant improvement in students’ Computational Thinking abilities as well as positive responses to the media. This study contributes to the development of innovative and applicable digital learning media and serves as an effective alternative for coding education in elementary schools. Recommendations for further research include testing in broader contexts and developing offline features to overcome infrastructure limitations.

  • Yohanes Parsaoran Selano + 2 more

Technology integration in education faces significant challenges, including the limited use of interactive learning media. This study addresses these challenges, so the purpose of this study is to develop a website-based e-module integrated with the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach to improve computational thinking skills in high school programming education. This type of research is developed with the Borg & Gall model, which is simplified into three stages (planning, development, and testing). This study involved media experts, content experts, practitioners, and students as research subjects. Data was collected through observation and questionnaires, while the product's effectiveness was analyzed using N-Gain score analysis. The research findings revealed that the limited variety of learning media used by IT teachers reduced students' enthusiasm and hindered their computational thinking development. In response, a website-based e-module was designed and validated during development. Feedback from media experts, content experts, teachers, and students during individual and small group testing indicated a "very good" qualification for product feasibility. The test results showed that the e-module significantly improved students' computational thinking skills, with an increase in scores from 73.6 (pre-test) to 97.3 (post-test), which is categorized as "high" in the N-Gain score analysis. These results confirm that the website-based e-module with the PjBL approach is very effective and suitable for addressing the challenges of programming education and fostering computational thinking skills in high school students. The study implies that the website-based module with the PjBL approach can be used in learning.

  • Journal of Vocational and Career Education
  • Rizky Gheni Praba Surya Surya + 1 more

The teaching of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) in Vocational High Schools (SMK) still faces challenges in delivering material that is engaging and easy to understand. The abstract nature of Pancasila values often makes them difficult to grasp without supportive media. The lack of interactive and digital-based learning media becomes a barrier to meaningful learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop Canva-based interactive learning media within a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model to improve students’ cognitive abilities in PPKn subjects at SMK. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The developed product is a digital interactive media using Canva, presenting Pancasila content visually, communicatively, and contextually. Validation was conducted by two media experts and three content experts. Practicality was tested through questionnaires to teachers, while effectiveness was evaluated using pretests and posttests in experimental and control classes. The implementation was carried out using a project-based learning approach. The results show that: (1) the media visualizes Pancasila values effectively and attractively; (2) expert validation confirms its feasibility with media expert CVI at 0.88 (PoA 88%) and content expert CVI at 0.91 (PoA 91%); (3) practicality is in the “very practical” category (average score 93.3%); and (4) effectiveness testing indicates a significant difference (t = 4.727; sig. = 0.000) and higher N-Gain in the experimental class. Therefore, Canva-based interactive media is feasible, practical, and effective for project-based PPKn learning in SMK.
