Development of A Social Collaborative E-Learning Model Based on Local Industrial Community Symbolic Adaptation
This research addresses the pedagogical gap between abstract social theory and its real-world application in Indonesian higher education. The study aimed to design, develop, and validate the “Social Collaborative E-Learning Model” to foster students’ symbolic adaptation and social skills by systematically integrating the local industrial community into the learning process. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) design based on the Borg and Gall model, the study involved a needs analysis with 143 students, model design, and validation by 12 experts using Aiken’s V coefficient. A limited trial was then conducted with 50 first-semester Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students to assess the model’s practicality and feasibility using surveys and observations. The findings confirmed the model’s high validity and practicality. The limited trial revealed overwhelmingly positive student responses, with 100% reporting increased motivation and engagement. The model proved effective in developing problem-solving (98%) and emotional management skills (96%). A notable 72% of students felt “pressured” in a productive way, indicating a challenging yet effective learning experience. Lecturer assessments corroborated these results, rating the model’s implementation as “Very Good,” particularly in fostering learning adaptation (94.4%). This study concludes that the model is a highly feasible solution for bridging the theory-practice divide. It provides a validated framework for creating impactful, community-centered curricula. Broader implementation is recommended, along with further longitudinal research to assess long-term impacts and the continuous refinement of the model’s digital components for diverse local contexts.

The aim of this community service activity is to enhance the understanding and application of Pancasila values among Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students through the Pancasila course as an ethical system. The background of this activity arises from the need for a more practical and contextual approach to character education. The implementation method involves online group discussions with 21 prospective elementary school teachers. The findings indicate that approximately 80% of students have achieved a good level of understanding of Pancasila ethical concepts, with 85% actively participating in group discussions. A significant number of groups, around 75%, engaged in in-depth discussions and effective collaboration regarding the application of Pancasila values in daily life and educational environments. Good analytical skills were demonstrated by about 78% of students in detailing and applying Pancasila values to case studies. From this activity, students can provide significant benefits to society through improved character education. The conclusion of this activity emphasizes theoretical contributions to character education through the Pancasila course and suggests improvements such as increased use of technology, provision of more structured teaching materials, regular evaluations, and involvement of external stakeholders in future community service activities. Thus, this activity makes a positive contribution to shaping the character of PGSD students and strengthening community involvement in the learning process.

This study aims to analyze the direct and indirect influence of the role of parents, the role of lecturers, and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students at UHKBPNP using the Path Analysis method. Data processing was carried out using the SPSS program. The prerequisite test showed that the model met the assumption of normality and was free from multicollinearity. The findings showed: (1) The role of parents did not have a significant direct influence on learning outcomes. (2) The role of lecturers had a significant direct influence on learning outcomes. (3) Learning motivation had a significant direct influence on learning outcomes. Furthermore, the analysis revealed that the role of parents and the role of lecturers indirectly influenced learning outcomes significantly through the mediating role of learning motivation. This study concluded that learning motivation functions as a central psychological mechanism that bridges the influence of environmental factors (the role of parents and lecturers) on improving student learning outcomes. Environmental support becomes optimal only when it succeeds in fostering strong internal motivation in students.

This research explores the perceptions of elementary school teacher education students regarding the role of teachers in developing meaningful learning based on local wisdom. It emphasizes the importance of preparing prospective teachers with contextual understanding and strong pedagogical skills. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting primary data through semi-structured interviews with six participants selected purposively. Data analysis followed a deductive approach consisting of organizing and mapping data, breaking it down into meaningful parts, coding, interpreting patterns, and drawing conclusions. The ATLAS.ti 25 application was used to assist in mapping and organizing both primary and secondary data, including relevant lesson plans and literature. Results indicate that participants generally understand the concept of meaningful learning integrated with local wisdom, although their theoretical mastery is not yet comprehensive. They perceive the teacher's role as a facilitator, a learning designer, and a connector between students’ experiences and subject content through cultural context. Challenges identified include difficulties in recognizing relevant forms of local wisdom, limited access to supporting references, and the complexity of designing effective, thought-provoking questions for knowledge assimilation. The study concludes that meaningful learning based on local wisdom requires well-prepared prospective teachers with strong theoretical knowledge, practical pedagogical skills, and cultural awareness.

The goal of this study was to learn about the implementation of multicultural-based social science learning for elementary school teacher education (PGSD) students at Universitas Langlangbuana, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence multicultural-based social science learning implementation.This is a qualitative study that intends to reveal numerous aspects about occurrences, phenomena, and social symptoms in elementary school teacher education students at Universitas Langlangbuana.The implementation of multicultural-based IPS learning and the supporting and inhibiting elements in the implementation of multicultural-based social science learning courses are the topic of this study. The implementation of multicultural-based social science learning as a means of preventing radicalism comprises three stages: planning, execution, and evaluation. Religious, ethnic, and cultural aspects, as well as support from friends and the surrounding community, all play a role in the implementation of multicultural-based social science learning. Meanwhile, internal and external issues are impeding the use of multicultural-based IPS learning. Internal issues include students and the lecture process in class, while external factors include the internet's impact, non-educational television shows such as brawls, and group tasks that are rarely completed with other students.

The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of elementary school teacher education (PGSD) students at Muhammadiyah Makassar University which took place over seven weeks from November to December 2024. This research uses descriptive qualitative research to observe and analyze the listening skills of 5th semester elementary school teacher education students at Muhammadiyah Makassar University. Based on the results of this study conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that the experience of 5th semester students of elementary teacher education is quite satisfactory even though there are several obstacles they experienced when taking the results of the test sheets conducted by researchers.

This study aims to determine the implementation of mind maps in Integrated Natural Science education learning in improving the Elementary School Teacher Education students' creativity, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, UST Yogyakarta. The type of this research is a classroom action research with a model design from Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The subjects in this research were 3G class students of Integrated Natural Science of Elementary Schools course with 44 students, while the object of this research was the mind map method and students' creativity. This research was conducted in two cycles with each cycle consisting of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques are using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis with the percentage criteria of creativity improvements. The results showed that the mind map method could improve the Elementary School Teacher Education students' creativity, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, UST Yogyakarta. The creativity improvement can be seen from the average percentage in cycle 1 of 68.53% and in cycle 2 of 87.64%. This shows that the mind maps method can improve Elementary School Teacher Education students' creativity, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, UST Yogyakarta. The study aims to investigate Person Ability and Item Fit instruments for critical thinking skills of the environment (Eco Critical Thinking Skill) in elementary pre-service teachers. Instrument investigations were carried out by describing item fit, separation of item and person, unidimensionality, and reliability of item and person. The research method was carried out quantitatively by collecting data through an open-answer essay test and an ecocritical thinking skill test. Participants in this study were Elementary School Teacher Education (ESTE) students from 3 universities in Surabaya of East Java, Surakarta of Central Java, and Manggarai of East Nusa Tenggara. The number of participants was 110 ESTE students. Data were analyzed with the Rasch Model WINSTEP software. The result of the study is that 36% of ESTE students have high Person Ability, 58% of them have average Person Ability, and the rest (6%) have low Person Ability. Students who have higher abilities are dominated by students from campus in Surabaya at 50%. Item fit Instrument with Mean Square (MnSq) 0.7 - 1.33. ZSTD -1.4 - 2.0 and Pt-measure Corr 0.49–0.6. The research concludes that an instrument of ecocritical thinking skills is a good fit instrument. The distribution of pre-service teacher qualifications from Surakarta and Manggarai is at a medium level, and students from Surabaya-East Java dominate high ability. Elementary pre-service teachers have the most dominant ability to explain and analyze a phenomenon or fact related to environmental damage.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the lecturers’ and students’ perception of flipbooks and e-learning in enhancing English learning for teacher education students, the influence of technology integration on student-centered pedagogy for teacher education students, and the use of flipbooks and e-learning to improve English skills for teacher education students. Thirty students and nine lecturers from elementary school teacher education programs at three Indonesian universities participated in this study, which used the qualitative descriptive technique. They attend Universitas Halu Oleo Kendari in Southeast Sulawesi, Universitas Borneo Tarakan in North Kalimantan, and Universitas Negeri Jakarta in Jakarta. Data collection was conducted through documents, observations, interviews, and questionnaires. This study found that both lecturers and students positively perceive flipbooks and e-learning as tools for enhancing English learning in elementary school teacher education. Flipbooks effectively present complex concepts, while e-learning provides accessible, diverse resources that develop digital skills. Technology integration significantly benefits student-centered pedagogy but also poses challenges such as technical issues and increased workloads. The study highlighted the need for interventions to improve students’ listening and speaking skills, suggesting that combining effective teaching methods and digital media can enhance English language proficiency and the overall learning experience. It is suggested that more efforts should be directed toward promoting technology pedagogy content knowledge that fosters students’ higher-order thinking skills in English teaching materials for elementary school teacher education programs in higher education in Indonesia.

This research is motivated by the ability of students who are still lacking to identify, understand, state, find solutions, and draw conclusions to the problems. In addition, students also tend to be passive in learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of the problem-based learning model with the aid of the mentometer on elementary school teacher education students' critical thinking and collaboration skills. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. Critical thinking skills were collected with critical thinking skills tests in the form of essay tests and observation sheets to determine collaboration skills. The results show significant differences in critical thinking and collaboration skills between students who study using problem-based learning with the aid of a mentimeter and students who learn without using problem-based learning with the aid of a mentimeter. So, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model assisted by a mentimeter influences elementary school teacher education students' critical thinking and collaboration skills.

This research aims at improving the narrative essay writing skills of elementary school teacher education students through Concentrated Language Encounter (CLE) learning activities assisted by short film learning media by employing a quasi-experimental nonequivalent group design. The subjects were all primary teacher education students in West Java, with a sample of 31 elementary school teacher education students in Cimahi City as the experimental class, and 31 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teacher education students in Bandung City as the control class. The results of the post-test research showed that the average skill of writing narrative essays in the experimental class was 81.10, while the control class obtained an average of 66.32. While the test results of the average N-gain difference in writing narrative essay skills with 2-tailed sig were 0.000 with a significance level of less than 0.05. These findings revealed that there was an increase in the writing narrative essay skills of elementary school teacher education students through the application CLE Model assisted by short film learning media. This research is expected to facilitate lecturers/teachers to teach narrative essay writing skills by optimizing all language skills through the CLE model assisted by short film media.

This study explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve motor skills learning outcomes for elementary school teacher education (PGSD) students. The research investigates how AI can provide timely feedback and personalized instruction in teaching motor skills. Data analysis methods include surveys, observations, and evaluations of learning outcomes. The research findings reveal the following: 1) Female students' motor skills are classified as moderate, with an average score of 200. The classification criteria for female students' motor skills are excellent (5.67%), good (24.33%), moderate (30.33%), poor (32.67%), and very poor (3%). 2) Male students' motor skills are also categorized as moderate, with an average score of 200. The percentage breakdown for male students' motor skills is as follows: excellent (7.32%), good (25.61%), moderate (37.80%), poor (29.39%), and very poor (4.88%). The results indicate that integrating AI into motor skills learning significantly enhances the academic performance of PGSD students. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating AI technology in teacher education, particularly to enhance the motor skills development of PGSD students. The research supports the concept that AI can effectively support motor skills learning at this educational level.

The research aims to identify and analyze the transformation of Citizenship literacy in Elementary School Teacher Education students, in the implementation of distance learning in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the Citizenship literacy of Elementary School Teacher Education students in distance learning, is transformed in the form of an understanding of the rights and obligations as Indonesian citizens. Nationality Literacy of Primary School Teacher Education students is quite good, if it is analyzed from the depth of coverage regarding the rights and obligations as citizens. The results also show that the obstacle in the transformation of citizenship literacy is about the shift in learning patterns from distance or online.

This study aims to develop an E-Book based on the REACT learning model (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) to improve the communication skills of elementary teacher education (PGSD) students. The research adopted the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). At the analysis stage, students’ needs and profiles were identified. The design stage focused on structuring the E-Book integrated with the REACT syntax. The development stage produced a prototype validated by experts. Implementation was carried out through limited and field trials using a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The limited trial involved 15 PGSD students, while the field (wider) trial was conducted with 40 students. Evaluation was conducted both formatively and summatively. Validation results showed an average score of 88.25% (valid category). The paired sample t-test indicated sign. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, proving a significant difference in communication skills before and after using the E-Book. Moreover, the comparison test yielded to count = 11.915 > ttable = 1.684, confirming a meaningful improvement. In conclusion, the REACT-based E-Book developed through the ADDIE model is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing the communication skills of PGSD students and is recommended for wider application in higher education.

The latest government policy regarding the implementation of the minimum competency assessment (AKM) has an impact on several aspects. One of them is students’ readiness, particularly in elementary schools, to become accustomed to carrying out the literacy and numeracy processes in learning. Prospective elementary school teachers, who are also elementary school teacher education students, are one of the primary targets in their preparation to become teachers who teach or train elementary school students to solve problems, particularly mathematics problems. Approaching realistic mathematics learning based on problem-solving is one of the efforts that can be made in training students. The research aimed to create a student worksheet that used a problemsolving- based realistic mathematical approach. The development method used was a 4D model, which includes defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The use of student worksheets with a realistic mathematical approach based on problem-solving by elementary school teacher education students as a basis for habits that have been ingrained from an early age, so that later they will be able to apply similar things when they have practiced learning in the field, is the result of this research.
