This chapter summarizes in the beginning our current understanding of extracellular electron transport processes in organisms belonging to the genera Shewanella and Geobacter. Organisms belonging to these genera developed strategies to transport respiratory electrons to the cell surface that are defined by modules of which some seem to be rather unique for one or the other genus while others are similar. We use this overview regarding our current knowledge of extracellular electron transfer to explain the physiological interaction of microorganisms in direct interspecies electron transfer, a process in which one organism basically comprises the electron acceptor for another microbe and that depends also on extended electron transport chains. This analysis of mechanisms for the transport of respiratory electrons to insoluble electron acceptors ends with an overview of questions that remain so far unanswered. Moreover, we use the description of the biochemistry of extracellular electron transport to explain the fundamentals of biosensors based on this process and give an overview regarding their status of development and applicability. A comprehensive review of Siraitia grosvenorii (Swingle) C. Jeffrey: chemical composition, pharmacology, toxicology, status of resources development, and applications.

Siraitia grosvenorii (Swingle) C. Jeffrey (S. grosvenorii), a perennial indigenous liana from the Cucurbitaceae family, has historically played a significant role in southern China's traditional remedies for various ailments. Its dual classification by the Chinese Ministry of Health for both medicinal and food utility underscores its has the potential of versatile applications. Recent research has shed light on the chemical composition, pharmacological effects, and toxicity of S. grosvenorii. Its active ingredients include triterpenoids, flavonoids, amino acids, volatile oils, polysaccharides, minerals, vitamins, and other microconstituents. Apart from being a natural sweetener, S. grosvenorii has been found to have numerous pharmacological effects, including alleviating cough and phlegm, preventing dental caries, exerting anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects, anti-aging and anti-oxidative, hypoglycemic, lipid-lowering, anti-depression, anti-fatigue, anti-schizophrenic, anti-Parkinson, anti-fibrotic, and anti-tumor activities. Despite its versatile potential, there is still a lack of systematic research on S. grosvenorii to date. This paper aims to address this gap by providing an overview of the main active components, pharmacological efficacy, toxicity, current status of development and application, development dilemmas, and strategies for intensive exploitation and utilization of S. grosvenorii. This paper aims to serve as a guide for researchers and practitioners committed to exploiting the biological resources of S. grosvenorii and further exploring its interdisciplinary potential.

With the development of economy and society, virtual reality technology has been paid more and more attention and gradually applied to all walks of life. Due to its interactive, immersive and real-time nature, virtual reality has a broad prospect in the field of architecture, especially in interior decoration and design. The use of virtual reality interior design allows designers and users to experience effect of what they see is what they get, but also allows users to feel as if they are in the design of the virtual scene, immersive mood. The purpose of this paper is to study the development status and trend of indoor VR technology design under the background of big data. After reviewing the development background of virtual reality technology and its application status in interior design, this paper introduces the technology related to big data, studies the global lighting rendering technology, and then analyzes the interior design system based on big data and VR technology. The experimental results show that the interior design system designed in this paper is accurate. By comparing the detection results of the digital model with the real results, the error of the digital model is not more than 0.5.

Molecular distillation is a new separation technology. Compared with the traditional separation technology, the operating temperature is far lower than the boiling point of liquid, the distillation pressure is under extremely high vacuum, the heating time is short, the system is basically oxygen-free, and the effective components in the system can be guaranteed to the maximum extent. Mechanized Recycling of Residual Film from Typical Ridge and Mulching Crops in China: Current Status, Problems, and Recommendations for Sustainable Agricultural Development

Plastic film mulching technology occupies a prominent position in China’s agricultural production and plays an important role in improving crop yields, which can increase farmers’ income and ensure national food security. As the current residual film recycling mechanism is incomplete, the accumulation of residual film in the soil has gradually increased, and the problem of residual film pollution has posed a serious threat to agricultural production and the natural environment. Ridge mulching cultivation is one of the main planting patterns for grain and oil crops, such as peanuts, potatoes, and maize, in China. In this paper, the planting patterns, mulching conditions, characteristics, and distribution of residual film of the typical ridge mulching crops, such as peanut and potato, were analyzed. The merits and demerits of various kinds of residual film recycling machines and the application status and operation quality of peanut and potato residual film recycling machines are summarized. Problems and suggestions for the mechanized recycling of residual film were raised. This study may provide ideas for the development of residual film mechanization recycling of ridge mulching crops. The aim of this study is to propose practical solutions by analyzing the current status and existing problems of mechanized residual film recovery in order to reduce residual film pollution, protect the environment, and achieve sustainable agricultural development.
