Abstract
Slow City is an international network that started in Italy in 1999 for the first time. About 10 cities in Korea also joined this network. If approved, all the agricultural and livestock products produced in the city can be branded as Slow City. In addition, the city automatically joins the international slow city association to co-develop any necessary contents as well as exchange human resource and materials with one another. In this regard, many cities are pursuing Slow City. As a result, it is not overstated that the competition gets excessive. However, not many cities can be qualified for the criteria to be approved. In this context, this study chose Gwanin-myeon of Pocheon-si as an excellent candidate city for Slow City. It has beautiful scenery, traditional food, reserving typical rural landscape which is rare to be seen near the metropolitan Seoul.
