Abstract
Objective To establish a reversed-phased high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method for the determination of Theophylline sustained release tablets.Methods By using RP-HPLC,a Hypersil C18 column was used (5 μ m,150 mm× 4.6 mm),with the mobile phase of methanol-water(30∶70),the flowing rate was 1.0 ml/min,and the detection wavelength was 203 nm in the room temperature.Results Theophylline was linear over the range of 4 ~ 36 μ g/ml(r=0.999 9,n=5).The average recovery was 99.2% (RSD=0.29%, n=5).Conclusion It's a feasible method for the determination of theophylline so as to control the quality of theophylline sustained release tablets.
