Abstract

A method for the frequency determination of a local oscillator (LO) is presented to facilitate reception of the maximum number of satellite signals via the use of a multi-global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver under interference. The authors have herein suggested a model for estimating the number of GNSS satellites with changing LO frequency. This estimation model was derived based on GNSS and interference spectra, used to determine the LO-frequency value to avoid interference and facilitate reception of maximum GNSS signals. The proposed method was verified by means of an experiment involving the use of software-defined radio receiver and actual GNSS signals. The authors expect the proposed method to be the basis of anti-interference processes in reconfigurable GNSS receivers.
