Abstract

Human bone samples were collected from two male patients and two female patients who were undergoing treatment in the University Research Hospital. Human proximal femur and vertebral bone samples were analyzed by means of energy‐dispersive x‐ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometry, using a standard addition method. The experimental set‐up consists of a Si (Li) detector with a resolution of 160 eV at 5.9 keV and angular Fe‐55 source. Experimental results are presented and discussed in this work.
