Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of gaming casino repeat purchase intentions. Specifically, this study examines the attributes thought to influence the likelihood of returning to gaming casinos located in Mississippi. Regression analysis is employed to investigate whether a group of attributes, which constitute six casino factors, exert a significant influence on casino repeat purchase intentions. The independent variables are the six linear combinations (i.e., factors) of the 27 casino attributes derived from Factor Analysis. Casino repeat purchase intention is found to be a function of the location of the casino, the physical attributes of the casino, the games offered at the casino, the extra amenities of the casino, hospitality attributes of the casino, and the attributes of the casino staff. As such, no one set of attributes can fully explain repeat purchase intentions. In other words, consumers utilize several attributes when deciding to return to a gaming casino.
