Abstract
To realize continuous detection of rail surface short wavelength irregularities and improve detection precision, the factors of detection accuracy on the basis of traditional chord reference methods was analyzed by comparing the chord length and the ratio of chord length and length between transducers (chord ratio). Combined with signal processing method, the automatic recovery of short wavelength irregularity was realized with optimized chord length and chord ratio. The recovery results were compared with the results from RMF-2.3E devices. The results show higher recovery precision and reliability. It means the detection accuracy can be significantly improved by adjusting the chord length and chord ratio.
