Abstract

Nowdays, mathematics has been rapidly growing. Many new mathematical topics developed and new results found. The major reason for this rapid growth is its wealth of applications. This rapid growth will certainly effects the contents of school mathematics for the students. If some new topics should be included in the school mathematics, in the same time, some “old” topics should be excluded from it. Beside, mathematics educators must be aware that a lot of students after graduation may not directly use mathematics in their real life, but most of them may use mathematical way of thinking in facing their real life, and furthermore, this can effect their life attitudes. Mathematics teaching is not only based on the cognective achievement, but it is also based on the increasing of affective and psychomotor achievements.
