Abstract
The design of the three-mastered schooner Denis Sullivan is presented, with discussion of the vessel's origin and purpose, design background, regulatory issues, arrangement, performance and construction. Specific features of the design considered noteworthy are discussed, including structural criteria, tonnage, machinery, stability, watertight doors and launching.
