Abstract

In the procedure of the wireless sensor network experiment a large amount of real-time wireless sensor network nodes are required to apperceive, collect and process the parameters of the surrounding environment in real time so that we can get detailed and accurate information about the substantial world. However, the existing nodes are expensive and complex, and they are not suitable for large-scale experimental testing. Additional, some experiments do not demand much on the type of sensing data. This paper introduces the design and accomplishment of a low-cost wireless sensor node based on modularization. The hardware structure is designed. For the limits of nodes in WSN, ATmegal28L and CC2420 are applied as processing unit and wireless communication unit. This kind of node is more suitable for experiments on routing protocol, query algorithm, QoS analysis, and et al. Energy consumption is shown in the part of evaluation.
