Abstract

Objective To design high-precision electrical impedance tomography data collection system combining serial and parallel processing methods for multi-channel breast detection. Methods A highprecision, multi-mode 16-electrode electrical impedance tomography(EIT)hardware system was designed in which ADuC845 was used as control center and which combined mechanical and analog switches. Meanwhile, PC software was programmed for data communication and processing. Results Preliminary EIT imaging experiments were performed and the results were satisfactory. Conclusion It is feasible to apply multi-channel high-precision EIT system for the breast detection, and it can be used as an aid to the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. Key words: Breast detection; Electrical impedance tomography; High-precision data collection; Switch array
