Abstract
Abstract An on-line controller is developed for the regulation of d.c. compound motors using microcomputer capability. The controller has a PID configuration, the parameters of which are computed using linear-quadratic theory. Procedures for selecting the sampling period, software design, and hardware specification are presented.
