Abstract

The carbon nanotube- (CNT) based folded cascode Op Amp has been designed for advanced applications. HSPICE tool has been used to discover the performance parameters. CNT-based folded cascode Op Amp showed better speed, low power, and small size. DC Gain in CNT-based folded cascode Op Amp is 67 dB as compared with complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) folded cascode Op Amp which has 33.52 dB, Output resistance is 173.4 ohms, as compared with CMOS-based, i. e., 233.39, average power is 2.8827 fW in comparison to 0.52 mW in CMOS-based folded cascade Op Amp. Furthermore, we have implemented both CMOS-folded cascode Op Amp and CNT-based folded cascode Op Amp for Instrumentation Amplifier. The simulation results show that CNT-based folded cascode Op Amp Instrumentation Amplifier has better DC Gain (152.27 dB) as compared with CMOS-based folded cascode Op Amp Instrumentation Amplifier (126.4 dB).
