Abstract

Low noise amplifier (LNA) presented in this paper is intended for L-band communication application, where the topology of LNA consists of two-identical stage cascade LNA. Matching network used in this paper optimizes noise figure. The cascade LNA design achieves high 35.56dB gain and low noise figure of 0.628 dB with only 38.52 mW power consumption. Broadband vector signal analysis demonstrates high ACLR of more than −50dB and −60dB at 5MHz and 10MHz offset, respectively. Very low error vector magnitude (EVM) of 0.0026% has been achieved. WCDMA signal simulation shows almost minimum change of signal spectrum at the output of two-stage cascade LNA.
