Abstract

The project aims at creating a bag which could harness energy from sunlight and store it for future usage, here for lighting the lamp .The main purpose of the project is to make the utilization of solar energy compact and portable. Moreover, this project is one way to apply green technology to an everyday problem for the rural areas of the country. The backpack would collect energy from solar cells placed on its exterior (front portion of the bag and shoulder straps), and will be stored in the battery concealed within the bag. The need for powering things with non-conventional source of energy is rising exponentially, as since non-renewable energy sources, such as coal and oil, are being depleted quickly. The objective of this project is to learn more about circuit designs, mainly on building a circuit that can store energy and then use this energy later on to an electronic device in controlled amounts so that the device does not undergo any wastage or leak of energy. The solar cells are placed in such a way that maximum energy is utilized with minimum damage.
