Abstract

The Wright Omega function has been employed in the simplification of the OSL differential equation, which may, in turn, be employed in the evaluation of OSL curves. The new equation will help in analyzing the zone between the First Order and the Second Order, which was not theoretically possible. The new eqn is employed to deconvolute the OSL curve of quartz using the Hybrid Genetic Algorithm both in CW and LM mode. From the analysis it was observed that the OSL curve of quartz comprises of three decay curves in CW-OSL and four in LM-OSL mode. This difference may be attributed to the preheat given to the CW-OSL, which removes the 110°C peak.
