The characteristics of a wall voltage driven by ramp pulses have been investigated in terms of priming effects in an ac plasma display panel. The effective firing voltage is decreased due to the priming effects of ramp discharges, and the resultant wall voltage is relatively larger compared to the conventional prediction.
