Abstract

Abstract Twelve urea, carbamate, and anilide herbicides were detected on KC18 reversed phase thin layers with the Bratton-Marshall reagent after hydrolysis to produce aromatic amines. Spots were quantitated at the nanogram level by scanning with a densitometer. Analyses of spiked water and soil samples were carried out to demonstrate the practicality of the method.
