Abstract

The broad development of democracy and glasnost' represents a prime, real step toward the new school. The vigorous use of the conditions that are being created by perestroika is helping teachers to work diligently on accomplishing the practical tasks mapped out by the Twenty-Seventh CPSU [Communist Party of the Soviet Union] Congress and the February 1988 Plenum of the CPSU Central Committee.
