Abstract

SUMMARYControl of house sparrows (Passer domesticus) on experimental plots of ripening cereals justifies more expensive techniques than on commercially grown cereals. Sowing of decoy crops of very early to very late ripening cultivars and enclosing these in a cage of netting designed to trap sparrows offers a promising method of minimizing damage.
