Abstract

The article describes an investigation into the preparation of nickel powder by the carbonyl-decomposition process. An analog of the process has been evolved. Mathematical processing of experimental results has led to the derivation of an equation expressing the apparent density of the powder as a function of the principal technological parameters. It was established that the apparent density depends predominantly on the temperature of the first zone and on the plant output rate.
