Abstract

To the Editor: The American Geriatrics Society Beers Criteria lists medications that are potentially inappropriate for use in older adults due to an elevated risk of adverse events.1 The evidence-based list was created by an expert panel and is updated regularly and often consulted by clinicians and health care administrators.1 We sought to compare annual trends in dermatologist prescriptions among the Medicare population for medications meeting the Beers Criteria. This is important to understand, given the aging dermatology patient population.
