Abstract
The article presents Decision Support System for time scheduling of work orders in operations producing heavy plate cut shapes. The IPO (Input – Process – Output) diagram was used to design the mental model of the system. The heart of the system is based on Generalized Assignment Problem and Buffer Management. The mental model was programmed in MS Excel by means of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macros.
