Abstract

The authors propose decision feedback multiple-symbol differential detection with maximal ratio combining the diversity of π/4 shift DQPSK. Its performance is then evaluated in a combined additive-white-Gaussian-noise, Rayleigh-fading and cochannel-interference environment by computer simulation. We show that the performance of this structure is superior to conventional schemes under both the conditions of static and fast fading in the presence of cochannel interference.
