Abstract
Abstract Data have been obtained on the cross section for the 58 Ni(γ,n) 57 Ni reaction involving the emission of neutrons with energy e n ⩾ 3.5 MeV in the excitation energy region from E γmax = 16.0 to 20.0 MeV and on the σ(γ,n o ) partial cross section. Energy spectra of photoneutrons were measured. The results are analyzed in terms of the ideas about the decay of doorway states.
