Abstract
The Japanese comic known as manga is on many occasions a faithful reflection of Japanese society, a country with ancient traditions and mores, which still employs the capital punishment. One of these mangas is Death Note(Ohba and Obata, 2013), which has a multitude of readings and points of view that make us question moral approaches to life and death. It is through these that reality and comics show a society through the fantastic elements that make up the work.
