Sir .—The article by Kravis and Kolski 1 on unexpected death in childhood asthma is problematic for a variety of reasons. The fact that sudden death can occur in asthmatics, particularly in the ambulatory setting, appears to come as a surprise to the authors. This is clearly reflected in their choice of a title.
