Abstract

The energy-saving technology of this thing is thriving. One of promising technology is the daylighting system via optical plastic fibers. It has many advantages, and its characteristics need further research. This paper analyses the transmission characteristics, attenuation rate, and incident angle of the optical fiber. The test data shows that the spectrum, color rendering index are good, and the energy efficiency is high. This shows that plastic optical fibres have excellent development prospects for daylighting.
