Abstract

AbstractAn investigation of the critical stationary states of an exothermic reaction is presented, by which the phenomena of ignition and extinction are described. The set of critical states is represented in form of a space curve, for which the projection into the parameter plane is discussed. Geometryindependent bounds are derived for the components of the transition point at which criticality disappears.
