Abstract

Membranes prepared by lysozyme treatment from C. ochracea strain 25 isolated from human juvenile peridontitis contained dehydrogenases for reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) and succinate. Difference spectra of both cell-free extracts and membranes exhibited peaks characteristic of cytochromes b and c; these cytochromes could be reduced with NADH but not succinate.
