Abstract

Cyclodextrin-modified MCM-41 with relatively high surface area above 1,100 m2/g has been prepared via simple hybridization of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and cyclodextrin. The modified MCM-41 showed fairly good catalytic performance (high activity and selectivity) in the double bond migration of 2-butene into 1-butene.
