Abstract

The current economy and rational use of energy resources updates research in the field of improving natural gas metering. One of the ways to solve this problem may be the use of thermoanemometric method of measuring the flow of gas flows, including natural gas.The advantages of thermoanemometric flow meters are a wide range of measured flow rates, low inertia of the thermoelements used, which justifies the possibility of measuring non-stationary and pulsating flows, as well as the absence of moving elements in the primary transducers. The most significant disadvantage is the instability of the calibration characteristics of thermistors during their operation at complex temperatures. However, modern technologies for the manufacture of such sensors help to reduce these shortcomings, which opens up new aspects of their application.One of the trends in the development of thermoanemometry is the constructive improvement of sensitive elements, taking into account the parameters of the measured environment. In practice, wire, semiconductor and film thermistors can be used, each of which is characterized by the peculiarities of application.The trend in thermoanemometry is the development of flow meters with frequency-time output characteristics and the improvement of microprocessor information processing systems.Trends in the development of the method are the development of new household gas meters, such as GORN PAT "Enegooblik" (Kharkov). Honeywell has developed new thermal sensors that ensure low-cost operation. It should be noted a new area of research aimed at determining the quality, including energy characteristics of natural gas.
